Katie Price pulls out of G-A-Y show

23/Jul/2010

Katie Price has pulled out of a performance at a London club night.

The singer cancelled her show at G-A-Y following her single Free To Love Again reaching just number 60 in the singles chart despite a whirl of publicity.

Further media interest had followed after Katie And Alex: For Better, For Worse, began on ITV2 last week.

But Price made a poorly received appearance at Southend's Mayhem nightclub on Saturday.

It is understood her musical aspirations have now been put on hold for the next few months. She has also busy launching her new book Paradise, the latest from her Angel series, this week.

Announcing her axed show in a statement, she said: "It's with great regret and disappointment that I will not perform at this Saturday's G-A-Y. Following recent events, it has been decided that this performance should be pulled from my schedule.

"I've been really looking forward to performing at G-A-Y as it's something I've always wanted to do, however after much consideration the last thing I want to do is put on a show which I am not completely happy with, so with a disappointed Jeremy Joseph (G-A-Y organiser), I would like to apologise to everyone who was planning on coming to see me and I will see you all again very soon."
