Print firm buoyed by start of year

11/Mar/2010

Commercial print firm Park Communications has optimistic for further growth in the year ahead following a "buoyant" start to 2010.

The London-based firm has invested in two new digital colour presses, which it hopes will help increase sales in the coming moths.

The firm was uplifted in the first two months of the year following an expansion and profitable year in 2009, which saw the firm post sales of nearly £3 million.

It has added the Xerox DocuColor 8000 and DocuColor 8002 to its fleet of press equipment to keep up with demand for short-run print jobs.

Managing director Alison Branch said: "Some clients are using a larger number of media communications and as a result, require print in shorter runs and in fewer copies. We'll often use digital print to produce advance copies of a job before production in longer runs.

"All indications suggest that 2010 is going to be another challenging year, but encouragingly we have had the most buoyant January and February since 1991."
